Academic Programs
To prepare quality teachers of mathematics for Papua New Guinea and South Pacific high Schools. The B.Ed will focus on the training of teachers for Grades 9 to 12 though there is high demand now for grades 7 and 8 teachers. The Department also has a Research Center in Ethnomathematics (Cultural Mathematics) which conducts research, stores and disseminate knowledge on Ethnomathematics. The Department administers the two Computer Laboratories both IBM. One is an open student lab and the other is a teaching lab. The Department also offers courses in Computing/Information Technology for both undergraduates and postgraduates.
