Department of Language & Literature.

The Department of Language and Literature offers courses in Linguistics, Literature and specific regional language and literature teaching and methodologies. In addition, the Language and Literature Department offers elective and service courses designed to help individuals from all departments and to improve their own personal and professional language skills. Courses strive to impact knowledge on how language is distinguished as a system of human communication. An understanding of the nature and functions of language is essential for people involved in education and administration.

The Department currently has a staff strength of (11) eleven full time staff positions, including the vacant Professors position. In addition, it has three part time positions currently being filled.
