Distance and Flexible Learning (DFL)
The University of Goroka is moving to the future of modern education by preparing to offer selected programs via the Distance and Flexible Learning (DFL) mode. Where ever they are students can opt to study off campus with their own books, resources, computers and other materials.
DFL will mean students of the University of Goroka can:
- Work whilst studying part-time
- Study at their own location
- Have more accessibility to learning
- Learn in a relaxed environment
- Live at home with family and friends
- Access online resources and contact with lecturers via the Internet
- Experience a more cost-effective way to study
- Be supported by a School of Distance and Flexible Learning, Regional Contacts and Provincial Centers
Initial Courses to be offered from 2010 in the DFL mode will be for In-Service degrees in:
- Primary Education
- Secondary Education and
- Educational Administration & Leadership
