Biography

Have Primary school teaching background and an Inclusive Teachers teaching in various schools in Simbu for 10 years. I was a school Base In-service Coordinator in one of the urban schools in Simbu Province (Wandi P/S). I developed in-services packages and conducted in-service on Outcome Based Curriculum/ Education and Inclusive Education & Special Education in various schools in the district especially schools in Waiye Zone in Kundiawa District in 2008-2010. I further developed inclusive/Special Education programs in schools addressing students with special educational needs and students’ diversity. Moreover School base in-service were conducted more often at the school level based on inclusive practices, inclusive teaching, inclusive classroom and inclusive school targeting the base level teachers. Furthermore, I develop a comprehensive Inclusive curriculum on the OBE Curriculum principles and approaches basing on the concepts of Inclusive education using the syllabuses. This is the component of the Curriculum and pedagogy modification and adaptation to address the diverse needs of students in classroom/school. I came to this University in 2014.

Research Interest/Background

My interests in research are in teacher education and practices, teacher and learning, Inclusive education, and special education, learning difficulties.

I Presented my research paper in the last Education Conference (2015), based on the Topic, “The Effectiveness of Reflective teaching by mainstream primary school teachers”. Journal /article was sent to the School of Post Graduate Studies.
