Michaelyn Vamilat joined the Creative Arts Division in the First Semester of 2015. She is
the Strand Leader, Coordinator and the Lecturer of the Communications and Media Studies Course. Ms Vamilat is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts in Communication for Development from The PNG University of Technology. She also has completed a Masters by Coursework in Communication Studies from the PNG University of Technology.
Under the Academic Discipline, Ms Vamilat has been teaching English for Academic Purpose (EAP) for the past 5 years at the PNG University of Technology before joining the University of Goroka.
However, apart from the Academic Discipline, Ms Vamilat also has vast work experience in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry whilst working the National Airline of PNG (Air Niugini) for 5 years. In addition, Ms Vamilat has also been working with The Appropriate Technology and Community Development Officer and Editor of the ‘Liklik Buk’ and ‘Save Na Mekim’ Publications. These are Development Books: the earlier title is an English version while the later title is a Tokpisin version
