Political anthropology especially traditional leadership structures 
-      Social and economic impacts of resource development in PNG
-      Extractive industries and community development in PNG
-      Social mapping
-      Economic anthropology, especially ways in which Papua New Guineans engage with the capitalist economy
-      Religion and capitalist development in PNG, especially Christian groups preaching the prosperity                                   gospel/theology and their contributions to the development of capitalism in modern PNG society

Brief on current research
-      Religion and capitalist development in PNG. It is still in the planning stages for documentary analysis (newspaper        articles, advertisements etc…) before fieldwork at a later date.
