MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF DIVISION
Design and Technology Division which had been a division within the School of Science and Technology since the institution gained its university status in 1997, is now one of the divisions under the newly established institute of TVET in University of Goroka in 2014. The program the division currently offers is Bachelors degree in Design and Technology. It is a four year program. The past program the division had been offering was Bachelors degree in Science Education (Design and Technology) which aimed at producing practical skills teachers for secondary schools in PNG and other pacific countries. This is a generic bachelor degree program in Design and Technology.

Overview 
The Bachelor of Design and Technology is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in employment in private practice or in industries in Paua New guinea. It allows students to acquire knowledge and practical skills in various technical areas to build a strong workforce in the development of the nation.

The Bachelor of Design and Technology will provide students with opportunity to be engaged in various skilled trades that will provide an opportunity participate in small medium enterprises and employment in industries.
